Three levels of divine healing: ~ (John G. Lake)
- When you’re sick and you need to be healed.
- When you don’t need to be healed because you’re walking in divine health and you’re resistant to disease by the anointing of God.
- When divine life flows out of us and we become vessels for God to use to bless and heal others. (highest level)
These levels are not static, they are a process.
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Healing is in the atonement. Healing is the children’s bread. You cannot separate divine healing from the atonement.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (KJV)
James 5:14-16 Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: (15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (KJV)
Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. (hidden traps, deadly hazards)
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day.
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, (diseases) Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. (accidents)
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands, they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
Psalm 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Divine Life is God’s highest and best. It is available for you and me. He wants us to be an instrument or agent of healing to our family, our friends, here in this world.
Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: (12) so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
The more you pray for others, the stronger the anointing gets. Divine healing is for when you are sick and need to be healed. Divine health is walking disease and sickness free and having a long, strong, healthy life, divine life flowing out of you to heal others. Let God use you.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
