Picture Yourself Living Your Good Life, Now
October 27, 2021El Sudor y la Fatiga No Son el Camino hacia lo Mejor y Más Alto de Dios
October 30, 2021The Good Lord said:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”
Matthew 7:15-17 NKJV
You may ask yourself, “I don’t know or interact with any false prophets, so what does this have to do with me?” You may not interact with “religious” prophets on a daily basis, but you will interact with key people who speak visionary or seemingly “prophetic” words into your life. How can you discern if this person is a highly valuable vase or just a bedazzled balloon full of hot air? The Good Lord said it best, “You will know them by their fruits.”
How many of you know someone that talks a good game, but their life results plateau well below the game they talk? What is the fruit of their words?
Have you ever spent time with a friend or an acquaintance seeking comfort and encouragement BUT leaving feeling even more drained and discouraged? What is the fruit of this interaction?
Have you ever been around someone who has spoken a word into your life that continues to positively reverberate throughout the various trials you encounter? Is it safe to say that their words continue to bear fruit?
If you are blessed enough to have someone or a group of people that consistently bear good fruit in your life, I highly encourage you to make every effort to stay connected to them. Life can leave you feeling beaten down and discouraged, so be ultra-selective with whom you spend your time. If you leave feeling worse, remember His Verse:
“Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.”
Matthew 7:20 NKJV

Another great blog Jon.
So true JP! Zchurch has been that “group of people that consistently bear good fruit in your life!” Sometimes it’s difficult to distance yourself from people “who speak visionary or seemingly ‘prophetic’ words into your life” be at work or within one’s own family.
I’ve found our online fellowship to be one of the antidotes that the Lord has used to neutralize the poison in these toxic relationships. Of course His Holy Word and comforting Presence are always there to cheer and to guide. Great is His Faithfulness!
