Nehemiah 8:10 …Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Joy isn’t just a feeling, it’s a force.
Happiness is based on happenstances.
Joy is a verb, not just a noun.
Colossians 2:5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
John 16:33 …In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Praise is a type of worship that is clamorous, loud!
Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
Joy is noisy.
Psalm 47:1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Giving produces joy.
2 Corinthians 9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 8:2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality.
The people were poor and they gave until they were joyous!
