Every human being is imperfect, except for Jesus. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23) If a man says he has no sin, he is a liar. (1 Jn. 1:10) How people deal with mistakes determines how they are going to recover, and how quickly they recover. Learn how to bounce back.
Proverbs 24:16 For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again but the wicked shall fall by calamity.
It is contrary to who we are to not get back up. You can’t keep a good man down.
We need to learn how to bounce back quickly.
Use every opportunity as a springboard for success.
Don’t be a bean bag Christian — beanbags don’t bounce. Don’t carry around regrets.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” (22) Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
The mercies of God are new every morning. Every day is a new day!
Talk about the goodness of God and create a positive atmosphere around yourself.
Keep choosing to forgive!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
A righteous man bounces back!
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Joy unspeakable and full of glory!
We need the wind of the Holy Ghost to fill us up on the inside if we want to bounce back. Move forward. Don’t stay flat. Every step you take is going to increase your strength.
Isaiah 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
We all need to give ourselves some pep talks now and then.
1 Samuel 30:6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Stay away from things that depress you: certain foods; alcohol which is a depressant; worry; perfectionism. Be careful about what you’re watching on the internet. Choose your battles.
You can’t soar with the eagles if you’re hanging around the turkeys! (toxic people)
We are to love (agape) everyone, but there are times we have to put distance between ourselves and toxic people. Beware of the mean-spirited virus, the anger and cynicism virus.
The reason a lot of people are unhappy is because they’re in the wrong church.
Stay filled up, read the Bible and pray. Be a giver. Learn how to forgive and forget. Find a place to serve the Lord. Learn how to forgive and forget. Take the bad things and turn them into good.
What you talk about is important.
Sing and praise the Lord. Learn how to laugh.
Your surroundings are important.
Change your scenery, go for a walk, sit under the stars. Take care of yourself.
Don’t let anything keep you down.
“Your attitude determines your altitude.” ~ Zig Ziglar
Elevate your vision. Your help comes from the Lord.
If you need a supplement, take it in faith.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Be that Skyball, bounce back!
