Ps 61:3 For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.
Shelter – refuge – safe place from my enemy.
Ps 61:3 (TPT) Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me. You lift me high above the fray. None of my foes can touch me when I’m held firmly in your wraparound presence!
Pro. 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Name (Shem-Heb.) Conspicuous and definite position, honor and authority.
There is a hiding place in God, a place of safety. The strong tower, the high place, is also a place where you can dominate your enemy; you can observe what he is doing. We are raised up together and seated together in the heavenlies with the Lord.
John 3:16 ….whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The correct preposition here should be “into.” Whoever believes INTO Jesus. Believing IN Him is not enough. Devils believe IN Jesus. You need to believe INTO Him. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor 5:17
Believing or stepping into Him puts you in another dimension or in another place. You’re in the world but you’re not of the world.
In Luke 4:28-30, Jesus was in another dimension when the religious bloodthirsty crowd in Nazareth wanted to throw Him over the cliff to kill Him and do away with Him, but the Scriptures say, “Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.” It was at the end when Jesus submitted Himself to the plan of God, when he laid down His life. He had the power to lay it down; no one took it from Him.
You have a place in God, but God has a place in you. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.
1 Cor 6:19 – Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Eph 2:22 – In whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
All of us are working on a building. We edify or build up the body of Christ. We are architects. We have plans.
In my Father’s house are many mansions (monet) (Jn 14:2) a large house with a lot of rooms. It is a spiritual building. God has a place for you right here, right now. It is a spiritual building. Everything you could ever want or need has already been furnished. Explore the house! You are thoroughly furnished unto every good work. (2 Tim 3:17) You don’t come behind in any good gift. (1 Cor 1:7)
Our real address is in Him. The Holy Spirit has made His permanent dwelling place inside of you, and you have made your permanent dwelling place inside of God. You are complete in Christ. You take Jesus with you every day. Be mindful of His overarching presence as He puts His arms around us, as we’re enveloped in the glory of God, that no matter where we go, we are in God. Where God is, the devil ain’t!
The devil is walking about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Pet 5:8) Put on the whole armor of God every day. Let’s make sure that we’re completely covered by Jesus every day with prayer, with praise, with the Word, in love.
The safest place you’ll ever be is in Christ.
Mat. 8:29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
There’s something about the presence of Jesus that repels the enemy. His glory, His presence, and the light of His glory torments the enemy. Good men come to the light. Evil men flee from the light (as in terror!)
Invite God’s glory into your home by worshipping Him. A house without praise is just a hut, but a house filled with praise is a palace. Learn to transform the place where you are.
We must teach and train ourselves to always praise the Lord.
The glory of God is tangible. Kabod is the Hebrew word. It means weighty, gold, splendor, abundance, wealth. God supplies everything you need in the glory. A church without the glory is just a building. The glory of God is the most effective repellent of the enemy. Glory will resurrect you. The glory will expel all the works of the enemy. It’s more powerful.
The garment of praise beautifies the meek. Jesus is your safe place. Praise is the key to your breakout. Enlarge the place of your habitation through praise.
