FAITH AND COVENANT

A covenant means an agreement between at least two people. Unfortunately, Covenant has been used not only for good but also for evil for everything that God does; satan has a duplicate for evil. Covenant can also be a powerful family thing. The Mafia and gangs have a group or family covenant that is hard to break. God’s covenant is more excellent than man’s covenants because the blood of Jesus destroys the works of all evil.

We have a covenant with the Father through Christ Jesus; old things have passed away, and behold, all things have become new. Everyone who accepts Jesus becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus, and a covenant is established.

WE NEED FAITH TO BE SAVED

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:8-9 NKJV

THE BLOOD COVENANTS

The first sacrifice occurred immediately after Adam and Eve sinned. The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them (Gen 3:21).

“Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.”Genesis 3:21 NKJV

THE COVENANT BETWEEN GOD AND MAN

“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.” Genesis 17:1-5 NKJV

Jesus is the second Adam that made a covenant with God for our sins; we no longer have to sacrifice animals for the atonement for our sins. He took all our sins on himself, and when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of our life, His blood washes away our sins, and we are sealed with the Holy Spirit.

THE CHURCH NEEDS YOU

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15 NKJV

This is an essential mission of the Church—to inform others about Jesus so they may be saved and adopted into God’sfamily. You have an essential part to play. Maybe God gave you the talent of singing so that you can sing about Him to others. Or He made you be a teacher to instruct people about Jesus. We can do all things through Christ.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Philippians 4:13. I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] AMP

“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:22-23 NKJV

Ephesians 1:22-23 ²² And He ^[a]put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and ^[b]appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church, ²³ which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills and completes all things in all [believers]. AMP

ARE YOU WILLING TO SHARE THE GOSPEL?

As Christians, we are the representatives of Jesus and should desire to reach out to the world so that their thirst will be quenched and they will live a life of hope.

“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14 NKJV

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NKJV

Chances are your neighbor, household member, or coworker is ready for any individual to inform them there is a way to have a joyful life. YOU are that person to share about Jesus. So take this journey with the Holy Spirit to lead the lost to salvation! Ask God to make you dare to share the gospel because many are thirsty.

The essential thing in our life is believing and receiving through Faith in Christ, not only for salvation but in every area of our life.
