Dr. John Avanzini – A Season of Manifestation
January 11, 2025A family went on a camping trip in the wilderness. When it came time to sleep and turn in for the night, the mother told the kids not to leave the tent because they were in the wild and it would be dangerous. After the parents fell asleep, the kids stayed up, telling jokes and scary stories. Just as they were all about to drift off into dreamland, one of the kids saw what looked like a puppy in a field a few yards from the tent.
The kids left the tent to investigate, and as they drew closer to the puppy, they could hear it whimpering. They picked up the puppy to comfort it, and as they turned around to return to the tent, they quickly recognized that a pack of hungry, ravenous wolves had surrounded them. As the pack of snarling wolves closed in, the kids were so terrified and paralyzed in fear that none of them could yell or make a noise. They were so frightened that they all fainted the moment the wolf-pack jumped in the air to pounce on them.
When the kids woke up, they saw that they were in the tent and that none of them had a scratch or bite mark on them. After rejoicing and giving each other a big group hug, they looked over at their mom, who was sleeping soundly. She was bleeding badly and covered from head to toe with bites and scratch marks. The kids recognized that their mom had saved them, and from that day on, they diligently followed their mom’s instructions and did all their chores without having to be asked.
The Good Lord chose to make the same sacrifice for us, so remember these Old and New Testament verses of the day:
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 KJV
“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV
“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”
John 15:12-14 KJV
