I’ve conducted miracle crusades for decades, and believe me, I have seen extraordinary things. But the two miracles I’m about to tell you about are permanently burned into my memory.

Years ago, I was conducting a miracle crusade in Spokane, Washington, at the Civic Auditorium.

To be honest, I was miserable.

After countless hours on airplanes traveling around the world, I had developed a severely herniated disc in my back. I could barely walk. Climbing the steps to the podium was painful.

That night I preached only a short sermon, perhaps ten minutes long, and then invited everyone with back problems to come forward for prayer.

The response stunned me.

The line stretched from one side of the auditorium to the other. I had never seen so many people with back problems gathered in one place.

I told them, “Just stand there. I’ll be down in a minute.”

It took me a while to slowly make my way down from the platform.

I prayed for the first person and immediately sensed the anointing of God.

I prayed for the second person, and the power of God hit him so strongly that he fell to the floor.

Suddenly, something changed.

I began moving rapidly down the line, laying hands on people as I went. Everywhere I turned, people were being touched by the tangible power of God.

About three people into the line, something extraordinary happened to me.

I suddenly jumped straight into the air, spun completely around, landed, and kept moving down the line, praying for people.

The pain that had crippled me moments earlier was completely gone.

I was healed instantly.

It became one of the most remarkable demonstrations of God’s power I had ever experienced.

After the service, a man came running toward me in tears.

He said, “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.”

He explained that he had undergone back surgery years earlier and had a steel rod surgically implanted in his spine. Because of it, he couldn’t bend over normally.

Then he looked at me and said, “The rod is gone.”

I stared at him.

He bent completely over and placed the palms of his hands flat on the floor.

Then he stood upright, grabbed me, lifted me completely off the ground, and shouted, “I’m healed!”

I laughed and said, “Obviously you are!”

Then he asked me a question I’ll never forget.

“How did that happen? Where did the steel rod go?”

I smiled and said, “I don’t know where it went. Do you want it back?”

“No!” he shouted.

“Well then,” I said, “just keep praising God for your miracle.”

That alone would have been unforgettable.

But the story wasn’t over.

About twenty years later, I returned to Spokane to preach in the church of the pastor who had originally hosted that miracle crusade.

While preaching, I asked the congregation, “How many of you were present the night God removed the steel rod from that man’s back?”

Dozens of hands went up.

I said, “Wasn’t that an amazing miracle?”

Suddenly the pastor interrupted me from the front row.

“A woman!” he shouted.

I looked at him, confused.

“No, Pastor,” I replied. “It was definitely a man. I remember him clearly. He was wearing a blue jogging suit.”

Again, the pastor waved his hand.

“Brother Huggins, please listen to me,” he said.

“Yes, a man had a steel rod supernaturally removed from his back that night. But there was also a woman in that same service whose steel rod disappeared too.”

I stood there stunned.

I had known about the man for twenty years.

I had never heard about the woman.

Two people.

Two surgically implanted steel rods.

Both gone in the same service.

The entire church erupted in praise.

Now that is more than healing.

That is a miracle on another level.

In fact, it borders on what the Bible calls “signs and wonders.”

And what kind of sign is it?

A sign that miracles are NOW.

Every miracle I have witnessed up close has changed me. Those miracles in Spokane built my faith for even more miracles.

The Apostle Paul said:

“My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

You see, that’s how miracles work.

Miracles produce faith for more miracles.

One happens.
Then another.
Then another.

Soon, they begin happening everywhere.
